Frequently asked questions
What usually needs settling before buying. If something is missing, write to us.
It depends on where you edit, not on how advanced you are:
- Video LUTs (.cube) for video in Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut and essentially any app that accepts LUTs.
- Lightroom Presets (.xmp and .dng) for photography in Lightroom, Lightroom Mobile and Camera Raw.
- PowerGrade (.drx) for DaVinci Resolve only, with the looks built as nodes you can open and adjust.
If you shoot both stills and video, the Bundle covers all three and costs less than buying them separately.
Yes. FilmEmu 35mm includes 19 conversion LUTs to Rec.709 for Canon, Sony, Apple, DJI, Blackmagic, Fujifilm, Panasonic, Nikon, Leica, ARRI and RED, so the look starts from the right profile for your camera.
They work with LOG, RAW, FLAT and REC709 footage. If you shoot a profile that isn't listed, apply your own Rec.709 conversion first and the creative look after it.
The .cube LUTs work in any editor that accepts LUTs: Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, CapCut, Filmora and more.
The .xmp and .dng presets work in Lightroom Classic, Lightroom (desktop and mobile) and Camera Raw. The .dng format is what lets you use them on your phone.
The PowerGrade (.drx) requires DaVinci Resolve, and works in both the free version and Studio.
Every product ships with a PDF installation guide.
You can technically load a .cube in some photo apps, but it isn't what you want: the LUTs are calibrated for video footage and the presets for camera RAW files.
If you want the same look across stills and video, the Bundle is the way: the same emulations, each built for its own workflow.
Immediately. As soon as payment is confirmed the download link appears on screen, and we email you the same link.
If the email doesn't show up, check your spam folder. You can also recover your downloads at any time using the address you bought with.
No. You can check out as a guest with just your email address.
If you later create an account with that same address, your earlier purchases attach to it automatically and stay in your library to re-download whenever you want.
Yes. The licence covers personal and commercial use with no limit on projects, including work you deliver to clients.
What you deliver is the finished result (the video or the photograph), never the source files. You may not resell, redistribute or share the files, or include them in a pack that is sold. It's all in the terms of service.
Yes, at no extra cost. If a product you bought receives an update, the new version appears in your library.
Because these are digital files, the sale is final once you start downloading: a file already on your machine cannot meaningfully be returned.
That doesn't leave you without recourse. If something doesn't work (a corrupt file, a download that won't start, access denied after payment), email us within 30 days and we'll fix it; if we can't get it working, we refund you in full. The detail, including the EU right of withdrawal, is in the refund policy.
Yes. The Film Frames Overlays are free: 52 overlays in 4K and 52 in 1080p, covering the aspect ratios most used for video and social (16:9, 9:16, 4:3, 4:5 and 1:1). You only need to give an email address to receive the download.
